8 women and 3 boys can complete piece of a work in 15 days.
In how many days will 12 women and 2 boys complete the same piece of work?

There is a formula for solving such problems -

If a men and b women can do a piece of work in n days then c men and d women can do the same piece of work in :

Here

n = 15

a = 8

b = 3

c = 12

d = 2

Hence applying the formula we get :

15* 8* 3 / (12*3 + 8*2 )

=>360 / 52

=>60/7 days

8.xxxx

Make this formula as a thumbrule for solving such problems...

Similar formulas exists for a men or b women type problems . I will request U to pour in such questions here in this thread.....
